Blofeld Editor

The BLOfeld JOB. Sorry to disappoint: it's a synth editor.

Sound / Multi · USB SysEx · DAW or keyboard

About

It's not what it sounds like. It's what it sounds like.

blo-job.online = BLOfeld + the JOB. Sound editing, nothing else.

Web editor for Waldorf Blofeld patches in Sound and Multi. Parameters are read and written over USB SysEx (Chrome + Web MIDI).

Notes

Blofeld hears USB and DIN at the same time. Use one note path, or the same voice triggers twice.

  • DAW mode — notes and clock on DIN (Ableton → USB-MIDI interface (DIN) → Blofeld). USB is SysEx only: knobs, dump, store. The editor does not send notes.
  • Keyboard mode — USB controller (e.g. MicroLab) → editor → Blofeld USB. SysEx stays on the same Out.

How to use

  1. Blofeld in Sound or Multi. Keep USB free for the editor (disable Track/Sync/Remote on that port in your DAW).
  2. Open SysEx → Read Part. In Multi, pick part 1–16 first; in Sound the single patch is part 1.
  3. Edit parameters — SNDP goes to the selected edit buffer.
  4. Store writes to a bank/slot — verify on the synth front panel.

In Sound, both effects belong to this patch. In Multi, arrangement (channels, part programs, pan) stays on the hardware; FX2 is shared and its type/params come from Part 1. If MIDI ports are empty on Windows, restart Chrome.
